Power Clean

Matthew's outside adventures lead to him being soaked in sweat and often covered in dirt. So he gets a bath every night. To add to the fun of bath time, Danielle picked up some crayola tabs that make the bath water turn different bright colors depending on the dye tablet.
This time is was purple although it looks blue in the picture.
He hasn't tried yellow yet (the funniest bath color dye tablet).
Being Silly
Matthew also wants to help do everything. Whether it involves a cordless power drill, or moving some weights. Matthew likes the weights. They're fun and make him feel strong.
Time to go work on the deltoids. Bye

Harris Shoals Park

Matthew made his first trip to a local Watkinsville treasure, Harris Shoals Park. He never even made it to the playground, but he had a great time and did not want to leave.
There were Big Rocks.
Lots of Big Rocks.
Calls Creek was like a magnet
He kept inching closer until he finally got wet, which made him very happy.

11 Months

Matthew turned 11 months old yesterday. That means that in less than 1 month he will be a whole year old. Apparently there is some sort of birthday wish list at Toy-R-Us. But this post might help provide some additional ideas for the creative types.
Rocks. He likes to stack 'em, bang 'em together, and sometimes even throw them. (So replacement windows may be an alternate birthday present idea)
Clothes. Spaghetti sauce can leave some tough stains.
Cleaning supplies. Because it doesn't just get on his clothes.
Teethpaste. He has 8 teeth so far.
He doesn't really need anything at all, but some folks don't listen when you tell them that.

Sandy

Matthew loves to spend time outside. So his parents finally set up his sand box under the big shade tree out back. He likes to feel the sand between his fingers and his toes, and sometimes even taste the sand.
He loves the sand box! (If he appears upset, it is only because the Sweet Green Chevy Truck behind him doesn't have a car seat, so Matthew hasn't had a chance to ride in it yet)
Sharing the sand with the grass.
Matthew also got a hold of some of Sadie's toys, they rattle just like his. Fortunately Sadie did not get to play in the sand box.

Catching Up

The lazy days of summer have not been very lazy for Matthew. There is something new and exciting every day. In the weeks since the last blog post, Matthew attended a "big boy" party in Hotlanta. It was the second birthday of Mr. Cooper Murphy. Other than the aforementioned birthday boy, the main attraction was a huge inflatable slide.
Matthew and Mama at the top of the slide; Cooper on the right.
Now at the bottom of the slide, so much fun!
Matthew was also showing off his new kicks and never misses an opportunity to play ball
Touchdown. Just say the word and Matthew will give the signal.
Cheese! Learning to walk in church shoes before Sunday service.
Ever helpful, he thought the remote control needed a run through the dishwasher. The emergence of even more teeth has led to a deluge of drool, but soon enough he will have sufficient chompers to tear into a New York Strip.
