Sweetness

Matthew has received several Valentine's Day Cards in the last week or so. Thank you, they were sweet. He also was able to spend some alone time with Mama and Daddy respectively while the other was out shopping for gifts. On a side note, Matthew also got on a roll saying "Go Dawgs" during a recent University of Georgia basketball game. He seems to have learned that the two arms up signal for a made 3-pointer is the same as the signal for a touchdown; which may be part of the reason he calls basketball "foot-ball" (although every ball, is a foot-ball).  Cheering for Georgia like his Daddy and holding his arms up is also sweet.
The day after Valentine's Matthew was playing with his toys in the floor after supper but before bath time. His mother decided to enjoy some left over Valentine's dessert, Tiramisu. Despite never having tried the coffee flavored Italian cake, Matthew jumped up on the couch saying "please, please, please". How could she say no?

Play Time

Matthew watched his last bit of football for the next few months and got to spend the first half of the Super Bowl playing with his good friend Will Lawson who came over for a visit. Big Mama and Big Daddy were back stateside after a trip to Honduras and came to visit Matthew Tuesday night, a visit that included a trip to the Chick-fil-A playground. Wednesday night it snowed in Watkinsville, again, so Thursday morning Matthew played in the snow, again.
Matthew needed his cowboy hat to watch Mickey Mouse's Number Round-up
Mama put his tent together in the living room to play.
Sadie the Cat, and Leo the Lion joined in on the camping fun.

Outside

Despite the bad weather during the last couple of weeks. Matthew has been able to get outside and play during the weekends. A word of note: if you are planning to take Matthew outside to play you had better make sure that both you and he are ready to go. He is not going to wait for things like shoes or a jacket, when he hears "outside" he makes a bee-line for the door.
Last weekend he made a brief visit to the petting zoo; "Baaaa"
When he got back home he had to play with his tractor. The front in loader is very entertaining!
Tree! Matthew likes to say that as he touches the rough bark. There was no danger of him climbing this oak though. If you look closely, you will see that both his hands and his pockets are full of acorns.
Matthew also likes stomping the pine straw and weaving around the shrubs. It is much easier to get around them when they are not covered in snow.
