Typhoid Matthew

Matthew's friend Mya got sick Wednesday afternoon. Matthew's only sign of illness Wednesday night lasted less than 2 minutes.

By Thursday afternoon, both Matthew's mother and father had to leave work early because they were sick. Unlike Matthew, their symptoms only got worse and it became obvious very quickly that two sick parents would have a difficult task of caring for a very happy, healthy, and active 3 month old. So the call went out to Big Mama. Big Mama and Big Daddy drove up from Macon to Watkinsville, through the snow flurries and freezing conditions, to take care of their grandson. Danielle and Mark both had very rough nights with chills, fevers, and all sorts of other horrible things due to their sickness while Matthew and his caretakers slept upstairs.

Danielle didn't make it to work Friday and Mark only made the briefest of appearances. Thanks to the help of the grandparents staying another night, they were able to get the rest needed to recover and are happy to report that they are feeling much better. However, after about 12 hours back in Macon, Big Mama starting showing signs of the same illness. Typhoid Matthew has struck again!
